Born and raised in Turlock to local small business owners, Sandy spent over 6 years in NYC studying Marketing and International Management at Pace University and working at McGraw-Hill as a Marketing and Event Specialist. She then spent over 20 months in India working for a social enterprise incubator, where she scaled a platform to build a local social enterprise ecosystem in 15 different cities. In her free time, Sandy enjoys boxing, hiking, travelling and reading.

Kelvin has been a resident of Turlock since 1996. A dedicated educator, Kelvin is a professor at CSU Stanislaus, where he teaches economics with a focus on economic policy. His deep understanding of policy and his previous experience as President of the We Care Board of Directors provide him with a unique perspective on addressing homelessness in the Central Valley. Beyond his professional life, Kelvin has held numerous leadership roles at the university and remains an active member of the community. He and his wife are proud parents of two Pitman High School graduates.

Brett received his Bachelor of Arts in 1985 from Iowa State University. He has been a resident of Turlock since 2003 after relocating from Southern California. He retired in 2022 from California State University, Stanislaus after working for 15 years in the Office of Service-Learning helping students and faculty make connections in our community to provide valuable volunteer service activities related to their disciplines. He joined the Board of Directors in 2022. In his spare time, he is an avid reader, hiker and traveler who enjoys learning about people from different cultures.

Born and raised in Turlock. Her passion for helping others started as a child, serving meals on the food truck with Daily Bread. Corey worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She joined We Care as a case manager in our Navigation Center and has helped with Rapid Rehousing and HMIS. In her spare time, Corey enjoys traveling and being in nature.

Having spent nearly all of his life in Turlock, Michael graduated from California State University, Stanislaus with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He worked for over 20 years at Central Valley Electronics here in Turlock, where he filled many different roles. He started working with the We Care Program in 2017 as a grant reporter, then also helped with HMIS data entry for a short time. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus at a local Catholic church. In his spare time, Michael enjoys computer programming and going hiking in the mountains.

Shana is a proud mom, dedicated leader and community advocate with a passion for youth development and family engagement. Having been a part of the Turlock Community her entire life, she values strong cultural roots, connection and service. With over 20 years of experience supporting and serving her community, including providing housing assistance to individuals and families. Known for her organization, heart and commitment, Shana takes pride in bringing people together and making a lasting impact.

Eric has called Turlock home his entire life and has spent more than two decades serving others through pastoral ministry. He graduated from Biola University in Southern California and earned his Master of Divinity from Portland Seminary at George Fox University, shaping his approach to both spiritual care and community engagement. His work has always centered on building relationships, offering support, and helping people take meaningful steps forward in their lives. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find Eric outdoors or roasting coffee, two things that bring him joy and connection.
