Our Programs
Emergency Shelter
This program provides shelter services for up to 49 homeless men a night. These individuals fall at or below 80% of the area median income and are ineligible for assistance from any other social service agency. The shelter opened July 17, 2023 and is open seven days a week from 6:15 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. The We Care Shelter provides a warm, safe environment for individuals who would otherwise be sleeping on the street.
Permanent Supportive Housing
This program is for individuals who are chronically homeless, someone who has been homeless for at least 12 months and has a disability. We provide long-term affordable housing, case management, and support to our clients. Our objective is for participants to remain housed, improve health and lead a more stable life. Affordable Housing Program
This program consists of a four-unit apartment complex and two houses, all managed by Landlords Property Management, which are providing long term affordable housing options to families with low income who are in need in our community. We are proud to partner with the City of Turlock, with funding being provided through the City of Turlock’s HOME Investment Partnership Program and Community Development Block Grant Program. Rapid Re-housing Program
This program serves eligible individuals and households who are literally homeless. Our goal is to rapidly move these individuals back into permanent housing making their homeless experience as short as possible. Families or individuals will work with their case manager and create a reasonable plan that will enable them to keep their housing long-term. Eligible participants receive help with security deposits, first month’s rent and utility deposit to enable them to move into new housing. We Care Program only assists with rentals that are at or below the Fair Market Rate (FMR) for the Turlock area. For more information, send an email to michelle@wecareturlock.org.
