It is with heavy heart that we share that one of our own homeless men has passed on.
It is a huge struggle to be in the streets, trying to survive on a daily basis, facing all of life’s obstacles and day to day challenges.
A homeless person once told me
the only difference between me and them was
I have a door.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as our staff and guests are learning to cope with the grief and loss of a long time guest and friend of We Care Program Turlock.
A huge thank you to Turlock Police Department and Turlock Fire and Ambulance for such a quick response to the 911 emergency call to our facility. Their expertise and promptness was greatly appreciated.
The doors of the We Care Emergency Cold Weather Shelter are open again, and we are excited for another successful season. We understand our program successes are made possible by the generosity and compassion of our committed supporters, and we have been inspired by the outpouring of kindness and commitment of our community who have provided warm, nutritious meals for our guests every shelter night over the past twelve years. In honor of your continued dedication to this program we are assembling a commemorative cookbook featuring your personal and family recipes. The cookbook will be available for sale to the Turlock community in the spring, and all proceeds will directly benefit the We Care Emergency Cold Weather Shelter. We would be honored if you would share a favorite recipe with us, to be included in this unique cookbook.
Please send your recipe along with a photo, if possible, to email@example.com or mail to P.O. Box 1291, Turlock, CA 95381. Please feel free to contact our office with any questions (209) 664-2003.
Once again, we thank you for your time and commitment to the We Care Program.
